About me
My name is Carey Longley, and caring for others has always been an important part of who I am.
For nearly 25 years, I worked in the medical administrative field, where I was able to support patients, families, and healthcare professionals in many different ways. Most recently, I worked as a clinical scheduler for a local home health company.
When I unexpectedly lost that position, I found myself at a crossroads. During my time in home health, I had seen firsthand how difficult it could be for families to find dependable, compassionate caregiving support. I knew there was a real need in our community, and I also knew that I wanted to continue doing meaningful work that helped others.
So, I decided to take a chance. I began offering private caregiving services and shared with others that I was working toward starting my own caregiving business.
What began as an unexpected career change quickly became a new purpose. My goal is to provide caregivers and families with compassionate support, practical guidance, and a safe place where they feel heard, understood, and less alone.

Where My Journey Began
As I began my caregiving career and built relationships with my clients and their families, I quickly saw how much support family caregivers often need—and how difficult that support can be to find.
Caregiving involves so much more than helping the person receiving care. Family members are often managing appointments, making important decisions, coordinating care, handling daily responsibilities, and trying to keep everything moving while also balancing their own lives.
Over time, I saw how easily caregivers can begin to feel overwhelmed, uncertain, and alone. That realization became the heart behind creating Caregivers Safe Haven.
My goal is to provide caregivers with a supportive place where they can feel heard, find practical guidance and resources, and have someone in their corner as they navigate the challenges of caregiving. No caregiver should have to feel like they have to figure everything out on their own.
